Aster frikartii
This aster is
the bright spot in the garden from August until the first hard frosts.
It forms broad, open clumps of starry blue flowers that blend well with
the other Fall colors. A common companion plant with the showy sedums,
it also is lovely sited next to trees dressed in their Fall foliage colors.
Best in full sun at the front of the border.
